Create a bridge between your conscious self and your higher self.
A journaling practice has the power to change your life.
You are the expert on you and you are your best healer.
However, in our fast-paced world, it is nearly impossible not to lose touch with who you are on all the levels of who you are if you don't consciously set out to do so.
If you commit to doing it on a regular basis, your journaling practice creates the structure for you to connect with your authentic self. You will be amazed at the wisdom you will uncover when you get in touch with who you are on a physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational level.
By honestly and openly expressing yourself through writing and reflecting you will:
- Gain clarity in your personal and professional life. Expand your consciousness while being grounded in reality. Tap into your internal wisdom.
- Find patterns in what brings you joy so you can make more time for them and experience more joy and fulfillment.
- Identify ongoing challenges so you can grieve losses, work through transition periods, redefine your life to be in greater alignment with who you are now, make changes and find peace.
- Foster a sense of gratitude for all that you have and how far you’ve come.
Just like with eating whole foods, walking 10,000 steps a day, exercise or meditation, the benefits of journaling compound with consistency — so be patient, and persistent with yourself and the practice. Imagine the benefits after a few short days, let alone a few weeks.
Here are a few tips:
1 - Don't apply pressure. You don't need to write a lot — set a timer for 5 minutes or even jot down thoughts in list form. One sentence a day will help you create a consistent practice.
2 - Connect with what whatever is floating through your mind at the moment you put the pen to paper or your fingers to the keys. Don't edit. Whatever is there is perfect.
3 - Do it for your future self! Remember each entry will help constuct the map of your continuing journey.
