How We Can Come To Love Ourselves

The refrain "Love Yourself" chimes over us from so many different directions. Two words that may evoke a sense of bewilderment.

We may ask ourselves, "Really? Just how to go about that?"

The act of loving the self does not feel like something that arises intuitively from within us. This is sad because how to love the self is knowledge we are born with. This knowledge has been long forgotten due to the fact that when we were very young we were taught and learned all too well how to suppress showing love for the self. We were socialized by our parents, family, teachers and society to show love and caring for others and taught that any showing of love to the self was selfish. Choosing to focus on our own well-being was deemed egotistical or even narcissistic. We were shamed for doing the thing most necessary for our well-being.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Dear friend, without all of that prior conditioning you would intuitively know how to love the beautiful self that you are, your mind, body, and soul. Doing so is not only for your highest good but it is also for the highest good of the planet.

Hand in hand with fostering self-love with the full strength of our being, is the ability to know and connect with ourselves, the itty bitty details behind who we are and the grand flourishes. Knowing and connecting and loving the self are integrated experiences.

Self Awareness

Self awareness refers to being conscious of your internal experiences as they arise as well about how overtime awareness or lack of awareness of these internal experiences influences your life. Internal experiences are thoughts, emotions, physical feelings, values, resources, and experiences of intuition.

Self Acceptance

Self acceptance refers to being open to your self and fully acknowledging and supporting without judgment the way your unique characteristics and life experiences have contributed to who you are.

Self Alignment

Self- Alignment refers to the way you use your knowledge of your self to act in ways consistent with who you are authentically. Self-alignment involves having preferences, allocating resources, and trusting intuition that validates the self.

Come To Know Your Intangible Self and Spirit

The intangible self is the essence of who you are, apart from your physical body. It is the unchanging energetic presence at the core of your being. This energetic presence exists regardless of how we identify ourselves at any one time. This self, this spirit, tracks with the highest good for you and the universe.
